Artist’s Description:
The Ishitani Residence in Chizu, Tottori Prefecture, Japan was the Edo-era home build by an upper-class family who specialized in land management.
Greatly expanded during the early 20th century, the home now includes Western-style elements. It includes 40 rooms on two floors and numerous mud-walled warehouses.
The house overlooks Chisen garden and its tearoom.
A number of its buildings have been designated Important Cultural Properties and its gardens are a registered Place of Scenic Beauty.

Cards measure 16cm by 11cm (about 6 1/4 inches by 4 5/16 inches) when closed.
